-RUBY'S AMENDED RULES-
Chat Box Etiquette
See that handy little box at the bottom of the page? The one with the big Chat Box sign above it? This is a place we can all go to chat with each other in real time. Pretty cool, right?
The cbox is guest friendly, so if you’re new feel free to jump in and say hello. If you’re not so new, be aware that the cbox represents the board just as much as everything else on it does. Behave yourselves.
1. No advertising.
If you own or know of another site you want to share, fine. Whatever. The cbox is not the place. Take a hike over to the Advertisement board in the Out of Character section for that.
Posting links to photos and videos is fine as long as they’re not so inappropriate they make me cringe. This means no porn, and if there’s a crap ton of swearing, give us a heads up.
2. Do not chat in character until your application had been approved by a staff member.
This is a lame rule, not gonna lie, and we really didn’t want to have to make it. But, since some people get a little over-zealous in the cbox with their characters, here it is. If your application is still under review, you can’t chat in character.
3. Don’t go overboard role-playing in the cbox.
We all know how much fun it can be to chat in character, but the cbox is not the place for over-the-top role-play. This is another rule we didn’t want to have to make, but again, people get carried away with their characters, so, here it is. No intensive RP’ing in the cbox. This includes serious story-like scenarios, over-dramatic scenes, and intense romantic relationships. Again, the cbox is guest friendly and this kind of thing makes people feel uncomfortable and left out.
4. The cbox is not a replacement for message board RP.
This is sort of a common sense thing, but apparently we need to put it in writing. If something hasn’t been played out on the boards, don’t play it out in the cbox. If you see your storyline going a certain way, fine. But if it hasn’t been played out anywhere for us to see, it makes no sense for it to randomly be played out in the cbox. It’s confusing, it’s rude, and, seriously, annoying as hell. Don’t do it.
5. Don’t take over the cbox.
The chat box is here so everyone can chat. If there are only two people in there, well, it’s kind of impossible not to get wrapped up talking to each other. But don’t get so intense with it that other people can’t join in. That’s obnoxious.
6. Don’t argue in the cbox.
If you’re having a problem with someone in the chatbox, take it to PM’s or IM’s please. We don’t want to hear your B.S.
And please keep in character arguing or fighting to a minimum. Just because your character may dislike another one, or may be bitchy by nature, that doesn’t give you the right to argue with someone and pull the “but I’m in character so it’s okay” card. I mean, I’m a total bitch and you don’t see me insulting everyone I meet. It’s the chat box, not an episode of The Bad Girls Club. This goes back to that thing where people get over-zealous with the in character crap in the chat box. If you can’t tell by now, it’s getting old, and we’re cracking down on it.
7. Don’t disrespect the staff in cbox.
If you have a problem with one of us, send us a PM. Don’t start crap with us in the chat. It’s not cool.
If you violate any of these rules, your chat posts may be deleted without warning.
If you violate these rules repeatedly, we’ll ban you. No joke.
We realize some of these rules might be disappointing to some of you, but we want this board to be equally fun for everyone. So suck it up and deal.

-THEN-
In November of 1983, John Winchester awoke to find his wife, Mary, on the ceiling above his son, Sam’s crib. The woman was engulfed in fire and John could not save her. However, he did manage to save their boys, Sam and Dean.
From that moment on, John became obsessed with finding and killing the supernatural force responsible for his wife’s death.
-THE ROAD SO FAR-
Season One:
In the fall of 2004, Sam was attending Stanford University and living with his girlfriend, Jessica. Although he and Dean had been raised to hunt the supernatural, Sam separated from his father and brother to go to college in an attempt to have a normal life. However, when his estranged brother, Dean, dropped by to ask for a favor that didn’t involve bail money, Sam’s life changed forever.
As Sam joined Dean on a hunt for their missing father, something paid Jessica a visit. Sam returned home to find his girlfriend suspended above his head, engulfed in flames. She was killed in the same way Mary died over twenty years ago. Having nothing left to lose, Sam returned to the hunting life style and he and Dean traveled the country in search of their father, taking out supernatural creatures and saving lives along the way. Soon, Sam began having strange dreams and visions that turned out to be premonitions, a skill that made both Sam and Dean uneasy, but came in handy nonetheless.
The brothers were finally reunited with their father, and the Winchesters discovered that both their mother and Jessica were killed by a Yellow-Eyed demon. John located a gun called the Colt revolver that was believed to have the power to kill anything. They planned to go after the Yellow-Eyed Demon and use the Colt to kill it. But, when the demon turned the tables by possessing John, Sam was unable to kill his father and the demon eluded them.
Season Two:
As they were driving to their next destination, a demon driving an eighteen-wheeler ran them off the road and all three Winchesters were taken to the hospital. Sam and John recovered, but Dean was not so lucky. As his body lay in a hospital bed, kept alive by machines, his spirit wandered the halls, trying to escape the clutches of a Reaper.
Seeing no other way to save his son, John snuck off to make a deal with the Yellow-Eyed Demon, trading his own life for Dean’s, and tossing in the Colt for insurance. Dean awoke miraculously from his coma and John talked to him one last time before he died, telling him a secret about Sam. When John died mere moments later, his sons knew something had gone awry. Soon, Dean revealed what John hat told him before he died. The Yellow-Eyed Demon had entered Sam’s nursery to feed him demon blood, which gave him psychic abilities.
After John’s death, Sam and Dean continued hunting, becoming more determined than ever to kill the Yellow-Eyed Demon, whose real name was Azazel. They soon discovered other people with abilities and histories similar to Sam’s, but most of them weren’t using their power for good. The brothers also met Ellen Harvelle and her daughter Jo, old friends of John’s who ran a saloon – a hunter’s watering hole of sorts called The Roadhouse. With the help of their friend, Ash, Ellen and Jo were able to complete extensive research on all things supernatural and they proved to be a valuable resource for the Winchesters. They also reconnected with Bobby Singer, another friend of John’s and a seasoned hunter who owned a salvage yard. As the group investigated further into the Yellow-Eyed Demon and those he called his “special children”, they discovered something bigger than anything they’d ever seen was about to happen.
When Sam disappeared mysteriously, Dean suspected the demon was behind it. As he and Bobby searched for answers, Sam found himself in a ghost town with all the other “special children”. After receiving a discreet phone call from Ash, Dean visited the Roadhouse to find it had burned to the ground.
As Sam’s comrades started dying one by one, Azazel informed him telepathically that this was a contest. He’d hand-picked each of them when they were children, and now he wanted to see which of them was the very best. The fight came down to Sam and one other man named Jake. However, Sam refused to kill him, wanting to search for another way out for both of them.
As Dean and Bobby arrived to rescue Sam, he turned his back on Jake to go to them. Jake stabbed him in the back and Sam died in Dean’s arms while Jake became Azazel’s last man standing.
In desperation, Dean went to a crossroads and summoned a Red-Eyed Demon to make a deal: his life for Sam’s. Dean was given one year to live before his contract was up and Sam awoke alive and well with no memory of his death.
Armed with the Colt revolver, Jake arrived at a Devil’s Gate, a doorway to Hell. Newly revived Sam shot him, but not before he could insert the barrel of the revolver into the lock, opening the door. Dean retrieved the Colt and shot Azazel, killing him, as the gate to Hell opened, releasing a number of demons into the world.
Season Three:
As Sam and Dean started trying to hunt down all the demons they released, a mysterious woman named Ruby began following Sam, seeming to know quite a bit about him. She was able to earn his trust to a point by fighting alongside him and Dean. Wielding a knife that could kill demons, Ruby helped the Winchesters defeat the Seven Deadly Sins.
The Winchesters also met a devious woman named Bela Talbot, a thief who specialized in selling supernatural objects.
As Dean and Bobby attempted to rebuild the Colt revolver, Ruby continued to follow Sam, and soon revealed herself to be a black-eyed demon. The Winchesters learned of a powerful demon named Lilith, who held Dean’s contract. Ruby helped Bobby rebuild the Colt , only for Bela to steal it once it was repaired.
Despite everyone’s efforts to get Dean out of his deal, his time ran out and as they attempted to launch an attack on Lilith, she possessed Ruby’s host and trapped Sam and Dean, summoning Hell Hounds to kill Dean and take him to Hell.
Season Four:
In the months after Dean’s death, Sam became obsessed with finding a way to bring him back, killing anything and everything evil he could find, and cutting ties with his friends and loved ones. To the surprise of Sam and Bobby, Dean paid them a visit. Somehow, he had risen from the dead.
Soon, a mysterious man named Castiel made himself known to Dean, saying he was an angel who had brought him out of Hell.
During a mysterious trip back in time, Dean was given a glimpse at his family history. He learned that his mother, Mary, had been raised a hunter and that she’d made a deal with Azazel to save John’s life. In exchange for John, Azazel was invited to visit Mary’s child in the future.
Dean discovered that, during his absence, Ruby had returned in a new body and that Sam had been training with her, using his psychic abilities to yank demons from their hosts. Despite Dean’s protests, Sam continued practicing. This caused a rift between the brothers.
While investigating a case, Sam and Dean met a woman named Anna, who claimed to hear angels talking in Heaven. They enlisted the help of their psychic friend, Pamela, and she helped Anna remember who she really was: a fallen angel. She informed them that Lilith was attempting to break 66 out of 666 seals that would free Lucifer from Hell and bring about the apocalypse.
As Sam, Dean, and Ruby tried to help Anna find her grace, she overheard the angels say that if they did not give them Anna, Dean would be returned to Hell.
While Sam, Dean, and Anna regrouped in an abandoned barn, Ruby paid a visit to Alastair, Hell’s torturer who had become acquainted with Dean in Hell. Ruby offered to give Alastair Anna if he agreed to let her and the Winchesters go. Alastair captured and tortured Ruby until she agreed to take him to Anna.
Meanwhile, Uriel and Castiel located Anna and arrived at the barn to retrieve her. It was revealed that Dean gave her up in fear of being sent to Hell. Alastair arrived with Ruby and a few demons in tow, and a battle between angels and demons ensued while Ruby, Dean, and Sam watched.
When Anna retrieved her grace from Uriel, the angels were engulfed in a blinding white light, along with Alastair. Sam, Dean, and Ruby were left to ponder what had happened.
Unforgiven:
While searching for the Colt, and keeping an eye out for seals, Sam and Dean got a phone call from Annali MacPherson, who believed her house was haunted. While investigating the house, Dean opened an old locket and suddenly he and Annali were mystically tethered to one another, unable to move more than a few feet from one another without feeling an unbearable pain in their chests.
In an attempt to find a way to break the curse, Annali called an old flame, Greg Marsh for help. Together, Sam, Dean, Annali, and Greg were able to salt and burn the bones of the locket’s former owners, freeing Annali and Dean. But not before they formed a deeper attachment to one another. Even though they parted ways once the curse was broken, Dean and Annali continued to keep in touch and see one another when they could.
-NOW-
Greg has traveled to New Orleans to investigate a string of mysterious deaths, only to meet Jo Harvelle, who was investigating the same case.
Castiel continues to search for seals and omens while struggling with his growing emotions and keeping an eye on Chuck Shurley, a Prophet who’s been writing stories about Sam and Dean that bear an uncanny likeness to their real lives.
Sam continued to keep in contact with Ruby until she mysteriously disappeared without a word. She has since returned and, although Sam is reluctant to trust her, they have come to an agreement. Since they need one another to effectively combat Lilith, they’ve decided to continue working together, unknown to Dean.
Bobby Singer and Ellen Harvelle continue to aid Sam and Dean in any way that they can, keeping an eye out for seals and omens.
A.J. Fletcher, a seemingly unremarkable young man, has been drawing a bit of attention to himself, since everywhere he goes there seems to be some kind of trouble. A.J. is possessed by a demon named Pilgrim, who has caught the attention of a witch named Lydia Feldman. Together, they’re planning to raise an undead army.
A teenage runaway named Niko is being hunted by angels and demons alike.
An agoraphobic psychic bookstore owner named Chet knows way more than he should. Consequently, so does his new errand boy, Brody.
As Annali struggles with her feelings for Dean, her sister, Kelli Jo, has returned after being gone for several months.
And there’s plenty more where that came from.
Where do you fit in?
